How far along: 25 weeks, last week of my 2nd trimester, and 15 more weeks to go!!
Gender: Girl
Weight gain: 12 lbs
Belly button in or out: I would say it's pretty much out.
Best moment this week: I had a doctors appointment this week. It was real short and sweet. They checked my blood pressure and baby girls heartbeat, both were good. He also measured my stomach for the first time and it was 24 inches from top to bottom. I go back in 3 weeks to take my glucose test and to have another ultrasound, yay!! The doctor wants to check the placenta to make sure it has grown up with my uterus because last time it was lower than he liked. So, fingers crossed it's where it needs to be.
Movement: Tons, and tons of movement. She is all over the place and getting stronger. Lots of jabs, kicks and sweeping motions across my stomach. I love having Pat and my friends feel her move, its been one of my favorite things of my pregnancy.
Looking forward to: I am flying to Austin to see one of best friends on Thursday. I can't wait to see her and some other besties that are flying in too. Whitney moved to Austin the same time we moved to Alabama and I have yet to make it down there to see her. Now that I am pregnant I wanted to make the trip before our little one arrives. I am calling it my baby-moon. :)
Baby's Size: Last week she was as long as an ear of corn and this week she is the size of a turnip, so weighing around a pound and a half. (That's what the books say)
Our adventures at Fort Rucker are starting to wrap up. Pat is in his last stretch of flight school and I have to say it will be bittersweet. He is suppose to graduate in July and all of our friends here are graduating anywhere from June to August. June is just around the corner and it will be sad to see our first round of friends leave and start a new adventure. We have been truly blessed with some amazing friendships here.
I took these pictures a couple days apart. We have had some really pretty weather here and the top picture is Pat prepping the Blackhawk before they take off. I had my doctors appointment so he told me what aircraft he would be in for the day. They all have a number and letter on their tail and his was 44C or 44 Charley. If you look really close you can see him by the nose of the aircraft.
All day, everyday there is a constant buzzing of helicopters. I will miss it.
