19 Weeks & It's a GIRL!!

This week has been an exciting week.  We had family in town, Pat started class for Blackhawks, and we got to find out the gender of the baby!

It was Pat's first time to see an ultrasound and it was so much fun to see her together.  The baby was moving all over the place and everything checked out good.  The ultrasound tech said that she did measure a week smaller than we think she is so our due date will stay the same (August 23rd) but she could stay cooking till August 30th.  It was really neat to see our baby's little heart, brain, spine, little bones in her hands and feet, not to mention her sweet profile.  I was in awe in how much she has grown and how she is already getting her little features.  Once the tech was finished looking at the anatomy she asked us if we were ready to know the gender.  I had a gut feeling that it was a girl from the very beginning but I would have been happy if it was a boy or girl, I just want it healthy, healthy.  Pat on the other hand was pulling for a boy but had a feeling it was a girl. The tech showed us the screen and announced that it was a girl and the smile on Pat's face was priceless.  He asked the tech if she was sure and she said, "Positive, I will give you a $100 if it's not."  I think we both were on cloud 9 after our ultrasound.  Seeing the baby, knowing that she is growing and is healthy, and to find out we are having a little girl was amazing. We left the hospital and spread the news.  I originally really wanted to do a gender reveal party but I wouldn't change the way this all worked out, it was perfect.

My Mother-in-law came into town the weekend before my ultrasound and my Dad was coming into town the next day so I surprised him with pink balloons and my chalkboard.  It was my Mother-in-laws first trip to Fort Rucker so we showed her the sights and all Pat's helicopter gadgets as well as talked baby.  It was my Dads second visit so we talked, watched basketball, shopped and ate.

Can I just say how proud I am of my husband.  Friday was his first day back from his break and he started his course work on the aircraft he will be flying which is a Blackhawk. I can't believe we are on the down hill stretch of flight school and he has done so amazing. We took this picture last week at the aviation museum with his mom.  This isn't the actual model he will be flying but it is a Blackhawk.  I am so very proud of him.

We also had our first shopping trip for baby G.  It was unexpected but I ventured over to the baby clothes and had to buy a couple of things.  Pat also picked out his first little outfit for our little one.
Pat with a little girl will be the sweetest thing ever.  These pictures make me laugh, I'm not sure he knows what to think.  He keeps saying, "I'm going to be in trouble."

So here are some pictures of Baby G's loot so far (we have some names picked out but names are so hard and I want it to be perfect so I am in no hurry right now).  Pat and I made our first clothing purchases and my Dad bought her some sweet socks to keep her toes warm. Both my Mother-in-laws have given us some sweet outfits as well.  Target also had a really cute basket and pillow that were on sale that may go into the babies room.  I have a room inspiration picture that I am in love with but I am still looking everywhere to find things to bring Baby G's room together.

Pat's sweet outfit he picked out.

Here is the basket and pillow... Wren seems to like them as well.

With all the fun of this week we took a couple of family pictures announcing that Baby G is a girl.  I also took my 19 weeks picture, almost half way there!!
