23 Weeks

 

How far along: 23 weeks

Gender: Girl

Weight gain: About10 lbs

Belly button in or out: Moving on out.

Sleep: Waking up lots and having weird, weird dreams.

Best moment this week: I got the nursery glider in!  We also have the crib and the mattress but they are all sitting in their boxes since we are moving soon.  Can't wait to get home to set it all up.

Miss anything: My clothes... My sister is getting married in late June so I went to get fitted for my bridesmaid dress and I had to go up 4 sizes just to be sure it fits, ugh.

Movement: Lots of moving around.  She is kicking so hard now I can watch my belly jump. 

Looking forward to:  Getting my hair done this week.

Baby Shower

I have some amazing friends here in Alabama.  These ladies went above and beyond for our shower on Saturday and I couldn't be more thankful.  It was just perfect in every way.  It was a baby BBQ theme with pink and gold accents.  The boys were invited too so it was like a celebration/shower and I loved every minute of it.

I mean this cake and the cookies are just amazing and the girls made them from scratch!

They also set up a onsie station that was so much fun.  There were twelve onsies, one for Baby G to wear each month for a year.  Everyone decorated one and made the onsies so special.

We played two different games.  The first one was to guess how big my belly would be around with a piece of tape.  For the second game, everyone had a bottle filled with beer (except me) and the first one to finish it was the winner!

I thought this was a fun idea.  Everyone guessed Baby G's statistics and hopefully I don't have a 9lb baby, eek!

The pretty hostesses! They are awesome.

22 Weeks

How far along: 22 weeks

Gender: Girl

Weight gain: About10 lbs

Maternity clothes: Still only have one pair of maternity jeans.  Wearing lots of maxi dresses and skirts.  At work I wear scrubs, so that makes life a little easier.  Around the house I have been wearing lots of leggings and shorts with elastic waist bands.  My favorite is my work out/yoga pants from Old Navy.  My t-shirts are getting a little snug so I have been sneaking into Pat's closet for shirts.

Belly button in or out: Moving on out.

Sleep: Good, tossed and turned a little last night.  I sometimes wake up sleeping on my back which is my favorite and apparently a pregnancy no, no.

Best moment this week: Pretty weather, less pollen, and Pat started flying a Blackhawk.

Movement: Lots of kicks and jabs.  She is moving all over the place, especially when I am sitting on my side with my legs tucked in under me.

Cravings: I could eat Mexican food and cheese dip everyday but honestly there is nothing I just crave and have to have.

Looking forward to:  Pool Weather!

This is a better picture of the actual baby BUMP, ha!  I was at Target trying on some dresses and this one hugged the belly just right.  This is my holy cow face while taking a selfie. :)

And, Happy Earth Day! I took this picture on our way to dinner one night.  The sky and lighting was just perfect.

21 Weeks

How far along: 21 weeks

Gender: Girl

Weight gain: About 10 lbs

Maternity clothes: I only have one pair of maternity jeans.  They are by Jessica Simpson and are super cute. On the search for more jeans and shorts that are not "mom jeans".  Maternity shopping is hard.  I am a bargain shopper and most maternity things are very expensive and hard to come by if they are cute.  Some of my favorite maternity finds are on asos.com.  I did find two awesome finds at Walmart this weekend though.  They had maxi dresses for $14.88 and I got two. The dress in my pic is one of them.

Belly button in or out: On it's way out and I feel like my  belly has grown tons just today.

Sleep: Good

Movement: Lots of movement!  I am feeling her move around all day. :)

Cravings: Sweets (fruit & chocolate).

Queasy or sick: Feeling good!  I am just starting to get over this cold/pollen mess. 

Looking forward to: The weekend and a very special baby shower my sweet friends are throwing for me, Pat, and the baby. 

 

 

 

20 Weeks

Wow, half way there!! I can hardly believe I am at the half way point and have 20 more weeks to go.  I am a little late on my post this week.  I haven't felt the best lately, thinking maybe it's the pollen but I think I have my first official cold while pregnant... it's no bueno.

Besides from feeling yucky, I am officially feeling the baby MOVE!  I thought maybe I had felt her move here and there but wasn't really sure but now it's for sure.  She really started moving about a week and a half ago.  I feel her a lot when I'm sitting or laying down, but it's starting to get a lot more frequent through out the day. It's an amazing feeling.

Being away from home is hard when planning to decorate Baby G's room- it makes things a little tricky when trying to put it all together.  I'm still looking around for things that I love but I went ahead and bought her crib and a glider for the room.  The crib also converts to a toddler bed and then a full size bed.  I love both of these pieces and I can't wait for the room to come together.
