Christmas 2014

Christmas this year was magical with baby girl. It's so much more fun having little ones for the holidays, well it always is, but babies make holidays more fun. :) We hung and made some of her first Christmas ornaments, she helped light the tree, we added her first stocking to the mantle, daddy, mommy, and Reese wore our Christmas pajamas on Christmas Eve and we woke up early to see what Santa brought. Then she spent time with her grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. It was a great first Christmas with our sweet girl!

3 months

Reese's 3 months was a whirlwind of a month for me. Lots was happening... Starting my job back, leaving Reese, the holidays, leaving Reese.... You get my drift?

With Reese turning 3 months on December 1st, I started back to work the next day. Since I'm a teacher I was only going to be back for 3 weeks before we were out for a 2 week Christmas break. It didn't make since to enroll her in daycare and pay for that whole month so one of my mother-in-laws kept her for those 3 weeks. That was truly a blessing. Work was tough and though I enjoyed being kinda back in the groove of teaching, I missed Reese way more. It was so hard to juggle my new life as a mom and work and I was missing so much. It just didn't seem right or natural. Plus come January she was suppose to start daycare and I just couldn't stand the thought of it. So, Pat and I decided that I would quit my job and stay home. 

I am so very excited to have this opportunity and feel so blessed. Being a mom is the best job in the world. 

 


































 

2 months and Thanksgiving

Our sweet baby Reese is two months old and everyday just gets so much sweeter with her. Words can't express how much I love her.

She has grown so much this past month it's hard to believe. She has started to really smile and coo at us and it just makes my heart melt. The personality and expressions that are coming out are so much fun. Her little hams are growing and accumulating rolls everyday- they are the cutest. She still loves bath time and is starting to really kick her legs with excitement. 

Along with her coos and smiles, baby Reese has found her voice. She will screech, yell, and squeal with the best of them.  She loves to play on her play mat and look around and kick. Tummy time isn't her favorite thing to do but she will do it and is getting so strong with it. She will turn her head from side to side and she is pushing her chest and head up higher now.  

I love how she will look at you now, I mean really look at you, and then break out into the sweetest smile. Her eyesight is much stronger and other than looking at us, she loves outside, the tv and the fan. The fan is her other mother.  She still doesn't have the best control over her arms but she has started to rub her eyes when she is sleepy. And oh man those sweet yawns, they are the best. 

She still looks just like her Daddy and sneezes just like him too, 3 achoos almost everytime.  She is still sleeping like a champ. Most nights bedtime is around 11 and then she sleeps to about 6 in the morning. 

She also had her 2 month check up. All was great and she weighed 12 lbs 7 oz and was 23 inches long.

I couldn't ask for a more amazing little girl. Love her to the moon and back.

Reese 1 month and Halloween

Our first month with Reese has been an incrediable journey. It's so amazing that she is this little life, person, something that is a part of us, something we made and we are so blessed.

Reese is growing and changing everyday and her personality is starting to shine through. She is laughing, smiling and cooing which I love so much. Nothing makes your heart melt like her big gummy smile.  She loves to hear our voices, listen to books and play on her activity mat. She kicks all over the place and can hold little toys in her hands. She loves to be outside and look around.  Walks and car rides are more favorites and oh how she loves to be on her changing table and look around her room.  She is taking cat naps through out the day and is sleeping 4-6 hours at night. We love her so much.

Halloween 2014

Reese's first Halloween was celebrated at home playing dress up and passing out candy.  Reese got Halloween goodies and dressed up as kitty and a ladybug. :)
